The Truth About Google’s Adsense Affiliate Program

The truth about Google’s Adsense program is that it is amazing. It’s the greatest affiliate program ever invented. There is no affiliate program that even comes close. If you are not using Google’s Adsense, you’re truly missing out on a great opportunity. I’ve tried several other affiliate programs, and the only one that is creating revenue even close to Google’s, is the Amazon.com affiliate program.

Amazon.com’s affiliate program pays 5% commission and up for shipped products. It’s not really clear how Google pays you, but let me tell you it seems very fair. They do not pay per clicks, leads, or click throughs; they have a secret formula that no one will tell. But trust me it works. I was making pennies off of clicks monthly, until I joined Google. Then the pennies became dollars.
Here are some basic tips for signing up with Google’s Adsense program.

Tip # 1 If you search multiple websites in different categories you’ll find one thing in common. Almost all of them have Google ads and nothing else. This is because most other programs are a waste of time. Don’t take my word for it. Try other programs, but don’t skip Google’s Adsense.

Tip # 2 Google’s search spiders are so specific, that the ads that appear on each page orrespond exactly to some element of that page. Therefore, having ads from other companies is not a good idea.

TIP # 3 You can place text, image, banner ads and even a search box that will earn your company revenue. Do not place a search box from another company on the same page as oogle’s search box. They may stop working with you. In summary, the Adsense program is a great way to make revenue, has incredibly targeted ads and don’t use other search boxes on the same page as a Google search box. The One Simple Trick That Can Double Your Adsense Revenue

I've been working with Google's Adsense program for a while now. If you're not already in the program, why not take a look at it now at adsense. I really like Adsense. It makes me money and it's easy to work with. Just some simple copy & paste into your webpageand you're done. Right?

Wrong! You can do it that way if you want. Who knows? Maybe you'll get lucky and get a lot of clicks. But if you're really serious about making a lot of money with the program, you're going to have to tweak it a little. I've invested quite a bit of time experimenting with the program. When I first signed up, I got some clicks and made a tiny bit of money. That wasn't good enough. I new there must be a way to get more of my visitors to click on the ads.

Google has a strict policy about not pointing to the ads in any way or asking people to click on them, so there were two things I couldn't do. What else was there? Then I remembered reading an article once that discussed the psychological impact of colors on the human mind. I started researching everything I could find on the subject. After a lot of reading, many tests and periods of watching my clicks go up and down, I found the one color combination that seemed to work the best.

Testing previously done at supermarkets had revealed that the same product could pull more sales from just changing the colors of the label. What were these colors? Red and yellow! The combination of these two colors has an immediate impact on the person who sees them. They make your eyes stop and focus. They pull your eyes right to that part of the page. They grab your attention! I'm not sure exactly why the combination of red and yellow does this, but it does. On one of my sites, I changed my Adsense ads to a bright red border and a yellow background with black text and URL.

My click through rate more than doubled with just that one simple change. That's what worked on my site. Your site's color scheme may work better with a slightly different color combination. Try lots of different color variations. Make a change in the morning and let it ride for the whole day. The next morning, try a different set of colors. Change the border, background, text. Change everything you can.

Most importantly, keep detailed records of the color scheme you used, click ratio and revenue generated. After you've done all the experimenting you want to, go back to the most profitable one and let it run for a week or so and see how it does. I'm always trying different colors even after my run of good clicks with red and yellow. There are a lot of color combinations to choose from. You never know when you'll find just the right one.

Pay Per Click and Search Engine Optimization - A Perfect Marriage

Pay per click or search engine optimization, which one should you use? Many view PPC marketing as a colossal waste of money while others disdain search engine optimization. In reality, the two marketing strategies form a perfect marriage.

Pay-Per-Click - PPC

PPC marketing is a love it or hate platform. For the “love it” crowd, PPC marketing is a way to get instant exposure and feedback on site designs. In a matter of minutes, you can start receiving traffic and adjusting your site to convert the traffic at the best rate possible. For those in the “hate it” crowd, bids are to high and one never knows how may of the clicks are fake and worthless.

Search Engine Optimization – SEO

As with PPC, seo marketing has its proponents and detractors. Those who love it look at the free traffic and glorious profitability of a site that converts the traffic at a decent rate. Detractors view seo as an unnecessary waste of time since it can take a year or more to get high rankings, particularly on Google. Detractors also argue that high listings are subject to changes in the search engine ranking process, which means you can lose your rankings.

So, who is right? In truth, both sides make accurate arguments. PPC is expensive and click fraud is a monstrous problem. Seo produces free traffic, but it takes along time to get to the top and rankings are subject to the whims of search engine ranking changes. The truth, of course, is both marketing platforms should be used whenever possible.

Marketing Marriage

Every site is unique, but most should combine PPC and seo marketing as part of an overall internet marketing strategy. When starting out, the PPC campaign is critical for getting immediate traffic and tweaking the site to maximize conversions. At the same time, a seo campaign should be undertaken. As the site rises in search results, the PPC campaign should be fazed out for the relevant high listings.

PPC and seo marketing are not mutually exclusive. When married together as part of an overall marketing strategy, both platforms will deliver the goods.

How to REALLY Profit from SEO

I want to give you a few more things to think about as you excel and grow in the craft of search engine marketing. If you are anything like me, you were hooked the first time you really made a difference to someone else's success. I soon realized that being able to help business owners to get results from these optimization methods and strategies could also be amazingly profitable. I found out that customers are your greatest resources and many of them are quite generous when you make an impact on their business. So the topic here is for those who want to profit from their skills (if you are not already doing very well and having an awesome time already).

It may seem like a strange thing to talk about but before I begin, I'll say this. There are many folks out there offering various SEO services and they are still not getting the profits that they would like to make. They are not REALLY profiting the way they might if they took a little different approach. The solutions that business owners need to really make a difference in the bottom line, require more than just bringing volumes of traffic to a site. You need targeted traffic mixed with a web strategy to compel response.

Then another group that seems to be doing well at first but the truth is they are making lots of promises and sales but they are not able to hang on to clients very long because they are not delivering long term results.

Many of my SEO clients have been with me 5 years plus. (I am still taking on new ones too.)

Let's talk about the benefits of SEO to you as a search engine marketer, then we'll give you 5 ways to profit:

Here are just a few legitimate benefits of offering SEO services to your clients.

  • Increase your sales There's no telling how many sales you can make when you not only can talk the talk but you can walk the walk and REALLY deliver results. Prospects can sense there is something different about you and your services. You are known as the one who fixes up Web sites that don't work.
  • Increase your repeat business I learned that just because someone buys a web site, it does not mean that they are happy with it. But if you can turn that Web site around and make it work, then that same client may even BUY a second or a third Web site, not to mention, buy various promotional services. All they need to see is, that what you do… really does work!
  • Increase your referral business What can I say, but word gets around quick! Business owners talk to other business owners and every time you help someone out and make them successful on the net, it's like they tell everyone else they know. Referral business is wonderful!
  • Increase your credibility With the right training and talent, your client comes to think of you as simply brilliant. This is not because you are REALLY brilliant, but you just look after your client's business as if it were your own. If your client insists that they have the best web marketer and SEO on the planet, why burst their bubble? You make them prosper and they make you prosper.
  • Increase your confidence There is a difference your client notices in you...right down to your body language and that inner knowing that if I've gotten other folks awesome results last week, I can do it again no problem this week.
  • Increase your authority I can not say enough about solid communication and managing client's expectations honestly.
  • Build Client loyalty Let the competitor just try and steal your clients with false promises or tricky claims. You've done a great job of educating your client and making them web wise. Now these things are quite profitable sounding but honestly, they are really just fringe benefits. Lets move on to talk about real profit options.

Ways to Profit from SEO: Here's how it starts:
1. Stop focusing on sales and start focusing on your clients success!
There are so many "webmasters", web designers, graphic artists in this business. Does it not just scare you a little bit? Don't we have to enter into competition with other web developers and does it not become a rat race?

Start focusing on your client's success.

Do all that you can do to make them successful. Pour all of your talents into making their projects work. So many folks I talk to can never stop thinking about where they will make their next sale instead of delivering results to the clients they ALREADY have and in so doing, you establish lifetime residuals.

Make your client successful and they will literally become part of YOUR sales team.

2. If you're not up to speed, you better catch up fast. A difference in your performance is a difference in your profits!

If you are not up to speed on solid SEO marketing techniques and methods, start learning now. Take a course or study at a live workshop, but however you do it, get your SEO skills up to speed so you can really help people. If you can show them a strategy that really puts dollars in their pocket, they'll put dollars in YOUR pocket!

3. How's your batting average? How about profit sharing?

If your skills are medium to above average, why not share in the profits yourself. I am referring to offering someone a vertical contract. This would be a deal where you own part of the company in return for making it successful with your SEO skills. Don't brush this off. There are some exceptional deals to be had if you start thinking laterally.

4. Don't forget your community and charitable work.

When's the last time you helped promoting a charitable work at NO cost. Build a site and promote it for the Literacy counsel or the Easter Seals Society or your Local Rotary Group or your Chamber of Commerce. Don't forget that this work will often open unusual and even surprising doors. Help make others successful and you will not fail. Many important leaders within your local community will be serving on these committees right next to you! A great way to network and meet new people and help the cause.

5. Watch the latest SEO trends and position yourself to take advantage.

The study and practice of SEO has been very good to me. Five years ago, I never dreamed that my study of Optimization would lead to the Internet lifestyle. I look after my clients well and sometimes go a little beyond what some might do in the call of duty. I have clients that pay me well for my services and demonstrate that they care about my business. As a result of the work I have done, I have enjoyed wonderful repeat business and client loyalty. Referral business is the best type of business going because it does not really involve a lot of preparation or hard work. You know that when you arrive, that they really want YOU to do the job because of your track record. It's wonderful business.

I could write a lot more but I hope you get the picture. If you have not been enjoying good profits, a rewarding lifestyle and being appreciated by your clients your need a plan of action.

SUGGESTIONS:

  1. You MUST be able to "deliver" and really make a difference. Do whatever it takes to get your SEO skills and lateral thinking skills up to speed.
  2. Run a balanced business. Are you charging for what your services are worth? There are some folks who charge steeply and don't know how to get the results. For gosh sakes, if you're good at what you do, make sure you are charging well for your services. You DESERVE fair reward if your considerable skills are helping other business owners to prosper. (some people are afraid to charge for their work). Note: The ones that charge steeply but DON'T deliver may make a few dollars initially, but they won't enjoy the customer loyalty, the referral business, repeat business that you do and they won't have a "customer for life" like you will.
  3. Don't forget to recognize and be thankful for the progress you've already made. Be sure to benchmark your victories but even more important, celebrate your CLIENT'S VICTORIES too! After all, you helped bring them about.
  4. Give something back to your community (with gladness). Look for opportunities to help others who genuinely need help and avoid those who are only after your talents to exploit them. (Trust me, when your SEO talents and success stories increase, you'll have strangers coming out of the woodwork to take you to dinner and pick your brain). Proceed with wisdom.
  5. You must be willing to change and take action! Performing the way you perform now has delivered a certain result. So if your happy with that result, carry on exactly the same way and you should get very similar results. If you are not happy with your results now, then you must change the way you do things.
Same action = same result
Different action = new results
Are you looking for new results?
Is it a time for a change of action?
Here’s wishing you the ultimate success.

The Ultimate Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Marketing Guide

SEO is a modern age Internet Marketing Science, which is the success story behind several online portals relating to wide range of online businesses. But the real question is “What is the ultimate SEO marketing Solution?”. This is the question which pops up in the mind of every single business owner across the globe.

Before embarking on SEO Marketing, I will take you through different types of marketing techniques prevalent in the market.

Some of the well known marketing techniques are as follow: -

  1. Marketing Offline – Take the case of a pizza delivery shop where every single marketing has be done offline, so in this case they will target newspapers, boards across the road, popular radio channels, and television to promote their new pizza product.
  2. Marketing Online and Offline - Suppose you are having a travel related website, and want to pull customers. In this case you can choose both online, as well as offline marketing channel which is mentioned in the previous example.
  3. SEO Online Marketing - Some businesses are completely dependent on Internet, like software development, online casinos, web design, web development, web hosting, and many other businesses. In these businesses, the probability of finding a customer online is 100 times greater than any other marketing channel.
So, the next question which pops up in your mind is, "Where should I start
from?" .Below you will find a step by step guide for online seo marketing

Some of them are as follow:

Step 1: Log on to https://signup.overture.com/signup/ss/ols/addListings.do,
and do a little research on different keywords, and select the best keyword
which relates to your business. Here you will have to choose some of the top
ranking keywords.

Step 2: Here you will start working on the SEO for a list of selected keywords, and you can choose any of the three options listed below.

  • PPC/Pay per Click - PPC means that your site will start to show for this keyword, from the very moment you pay PPC fees to YAHOO, MSN or GOOGLE. Choose the keyword which is well under your budget, and relates to your business pretty well. Suppose you choose “bad credit home equity loan” keyword, which will cost you around 5,655.00$/month. This cost will be 100% payable to Yahoo, Google, or any other search engine. Further, you will have to hire a PPC Seo Marketing specialist, who will further cost you around 1000$-10,000$ depending upon the keyword chosen. If you can handle PPC yourself, you can surely cut down on your expenditure.
  • Organic SEO/ Natural SEO - In natural SEO you are not supposed to pay any monthly charges to Yahoo, Google, or MSN. In case of PPC if you don’t pay fixed amount for the next month your website doesn’t show up. Organic/Natural Seo option is often opted by Businesses which do not want to pay hefty PPC amounts, or those who have broader vision of Marketing. In Organic SEO, time frame is a major drawback. If you are targeting a top level keyword, it can easily take somewhere around 2-6 months, depending upon the keywords.
  • PPC + Organic SEO - Some companies are familiar with the time frame constraint of organic SEO, so they immediately “kick start” with PPC, and Organic Seo as well. PPC campaigns will start to show results within 4-5 days, whereas organic SEO can take up to 2-6 months. Once their website starts showing on natural seo rankings on various search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Msn, they simply pull back their PPC campaigns, and will resort to pushing their site up to the top level using natural seo rankings.
These were some of the techniques used in Search engine optimization Marketing. Case 1, 2, and 3 are applicable to a number of different companies and business set up. It's up to the owner to decide which way to head in Online Internet Marketing.

Keys To Pay Per Click Management

What is PPC?

PPC stands for Pay Per Click. Effective pay per click management can be used to increase traffic, reduce cost per click and boost profit. A well managed pay per click campaign can, in fact, make the difference between profitability and loss.

Pay per click advertising on search engines allows you choose keywords you would like your site to appear for when a search is performed. You decide how much you are willing to pay each time a person clicks on the search results. The more you are willing to pay per click, the higher your site will appear in the results for the keywords you choose.

The search engines are primarily one of the best sources for targeted traffic to your website. With PPC advertising, your website can appear on the search results for as many keywords and key phrases of your choice. It allows you to get more targeted site traffic instantly. But Pay Per Click needs effective management as well. Without proper PPC management, you might just be wasting time and money.

Before spending any money with a pay per click search engine, be sure they can answer the following questions:

  • How many searches a month are performed at the search engine?
  • What major search partners or affiliates does the search engine have?
  • How many searches are generated each month by the search partners or affiliates?
  • Is it possible to opt out of having your listing appear in the results of the affiliate sites?
  • What fraud prevention mechanisms are in place?

This form of advertising has become so popular on Google that it can now be difficult to find keywords that are useful and related to your content without spending a fortune. There are however, some things to keep in mind that will help you to become more profitable with pay per click advertising.

A growing problem among PPC advertisers is that their competition has been known to click on their ads in order to up their bill with Google. This is not always the case, but bewares of this practice. The real goal you have here is to convert the clicks to sales.

For the future of pay per click management agencies, consider this:
  • It should now be easier to earn large commissions on pay per click ad spend
  • Returns are more easily guaranteed to clients with PPC
  • SEO is perceived to be more difficult and less rewarding
Google themselves intend to drive SEO agencies out of business if they stick to SEO, and they are providing lower hanging fruit to agencies so that they consider switching more clients to pay per click advertising.

Pay Per Click management can bring success to PPC campaigns when done accordingly. Pay per click advertising is based on the auctioning of keywords. The more popular the keyword, the more money a company will pay to use it.

Often PPC advertising generates results immediately, so don't put off upgrading your system if necessary. Always make sure that your site is in top shape before you advertise as well. Sending someone to a site that is incomplete or not in top form will set a bad first impression and you will lose a potential sale.

PPC advertising is a very tricky thing. Pay careful attention to your pay per click campaigns. In many cases the network through which you advertised with freeze your ads for different reasons.

When using pay per click advertising, avoid the top three slots. Top three sites receive a lot of accident clicks and 'test' clicks. You definitely do not want these most of the time, as these searchers wont be as interested in your site as someone who actually read your advertisement and decided to check out your website.

PPC Advertising - The First Step In A SEO Marketing Campaign By Halstatt Pires

Often, sites view seo and PPC marketing as exclusive marketing techniques. Each marketing method has its advocates. In reality, both have a place in the Internet marketing process. If you intend to pursue a major seo effort, a PPC campaign is a critical early step.

PPC For Testing

Let’s say you have a site offering a service or product in the travel market. You’ve put together a healthy budget and decided to go for broke. Yep, you’re optimizing and trading links in an effort to go after keyword phrases with major traffic and competition. For instance, you’ve decided to have a go at “Europe travel”, which has roughly 400,000 searches each month and major competition for high rankings. You spend two years trading links, adding content and so on. Miracle of miracles, you pop on to the first page of search results. You start shopping for your private jet only to realize a very disturbing thing. You are getting thousands of visits, but few sales. After running calculations, you find the site is converting at 1 in 10,000.

Houston, we have a problem.

A PPC campaign should be used to test your site against keyword phrases before you spend the time and money on an seo campaign. The best platforms to use for your campaign are Google Adwords and Overture. Yes, click fraud is a problem, but less so on these platforms.

After opening accounts and laying a credit card down at the PPC alter, you need to give some thought at to how you will test your keywords. Here’s a hint. The campaign should be designed to test the keyword phrases, not maximize sales. This may sound like a strange statement, but keep in mind the purpose of the campaign. You are determining whether you have picked appropriate keyword phrases for the seo campaign. So, how does it all go wrong?

With both Overture and Adwords, you have the ability to designate the reach of your keyword phrases. Most pick the “broad match” option, which is terrible for testing. With broad match, your advertisements are going to appear for your keyword phrase AND variations of the phrase. Since the ad is appearing on a variety of keyword phrases, the results can give you a false impression of the value of the primary keyword phrase.

Going back to our example, we start a Google Adwords campaign for “Europe travel” and use the default broad match option. After a month, we are happy to find the ads converting at 1 in 70. Having validated the keyword phrase, we set off on the long seo campaign. But are we really sure about the validity of the keyword phrase. Since Google has been known to seriously expand keyword phrases under the broad match option, how do we know that the true keyword phrase isn’t “European travel”? We don’t unless we take a few additional steps.

The first step is to limit the PPC advertisements by bypassing the broad match option. Instead, you want to limit the appearance of the ad only to searches for the exact keyword phrase. In Adwords, this is known as the “exact phrase” match. To designate it, you simply place brackets “[]” around the keyword phrase. Second, you need to track traffic originating from the ads. This can be done using tracking tools on your server or through the tracking options offered by each PPC platform. Regardless of your choice, the resulting data will give a much truer picture of the value of the particular keyword phrases.

Nothing is more aggravating then getting top rankings, but miserable conversions. The only way to beat this problem is to test, test, test. Using PPC campaigns at the outset of an Internet marketing efforts can save you a lot of headaches later on.
